Choco cake baking

I baked a choco cake a few days back using a recipe i saw on the newspaper and it turned out SLURRPing good.. haha very heaty though.. wanted to share my love with some of my friends but they didnt had time to come pick up the cakes.. sniff sniff* but nvm la i shall be doing more baking now since i have more time on my hands.. heh

1. Melt the dark choco bar with butter over a water bath.

2. Add in all the other ingredients and bake it in the oven that evofus gave to me for 35 mins. The egg whites in the cake made me had muscle ache man.. i had to beat the egg whites till it formed a peak.. and it's a challenge haha :X

3. Due to the size of the baking tray, my choco cake was mistaken for choco brownies.. muha :X but maybe it's the way i had cut it.. but still, it's delicious.. slurrrrpppppp

4. All ready to be eaten.. heh :P

Afterwards, it was muffin baking time.. this one i bought the premixed packet branded betty crocker, i didnt dare to try eating it but caleb said it didnt taste that good.. wells, nvm i shall find my own secret recipe.. muha

Entrusting everything into God's hands..

Friends out there, pls pray for my dear friend caleb and his brother aaron. They will be undergoing surgery on the 29th Sept 2008 for a kidney transplant. Please pray for God's hands to be upon the both of them and for the surgeons as well and that they will have a smooth operation. Also, that Caleb will have a speedy recovery aft the op and aaron's body will not reject the kidney. It's only at times like this that i realise how fragile life is. And indeed it's very sad case for me coz it's only through such events that i learn how to treasure the ppl arnd me even more.. But anyhow, guys pls keep them in your prayers oki.. That's what they need most now. Cant do anything much now but to entrust everything into God's hands, and trust in GOD, that everything will be turn out fine..

140908 Happy 3rd yr Anniversary!

14th of September is our official 3years !! haha so we had our mini celebration today.. BUrrp.. i'm still feeling very full from the sushi session just now.. It was very fun, hanging out with my darling and doing something together.. it's been a looooooooooooooonng looooooooooooong time since we could hang out together or even do something together, so i really really treasured the time.. alright enough of talk, pictures time! haha ingredients u need for sushi making.. we didnt prepare enough seaweed or coz i bought the smaller packet then ended up we had too much rice and ingredients left over.. muha but nvm we can just eat the ingredients like that also.. SlurrP :P

Just a mini update, i've enrolled myself in unisim's degree course on translation and interpretation.. heh didnt forsee myself taking up such a degree. 2 yrs back when i was in sim, i couldnt wait to get out of it to get into nie and now the ironic thing is, i am back. haha wells, i also had this perception that unisim cannot be compared to ntu, nus or even smu coz it's campus dont look and feel like a uni campus at all.. but wells, what to do, i have to study real hard the coming yr! btw my course is gg to be a part time course so i have to work and study at the same time. sighs hope things for us will turn out fine..

Baking!.. atlast.. haha aft such a long break, managed to do some baking with Jing.. we made Jelly hearts, triple layer cake.. it was very funny... the whole process. though the cake didnt look as nice as we had expected, but the taste was alright..
The cheese cake layer hadnt really hardened then we poured in the jelly layer le.. as a result some of the cheese cake layer floated up la.. haha in the end it was like *W#$&)&#^$(&#^$ haha coz i accidentally poked the aluminium foil into the whole cake.. it was like omg..i dont even want to take a picture of it.. but like what jing said, practice makes perfect! haha! tiramisu next! :)

This has been a very tired week for me.. i'm just looking forward to the batam trip where i can relax and just enjoy man..

Met up with one person that i never thought i would again.. my primary school best friend! haha.. i think it's really God's will man.. damn long finally! haha we had a great time catching up with one another.. and she's gonna be a doctor! waha so damn cool i can take free flu med next time that is if she becomes a GP.. heh she's gg back already this fri but maybe i can fly to aust next yr to visit! haha :D

Backstabbed.

I've never expected it to happen. I simply spoke from the point of view as a Beginning teacher and i was badmouthed in front of the principal.. like seriously what the heck. :X I began to question God why did he even put me into where i am? Why do i have to undertake so much shit? Then i think back.. my EM3 boys need me. My P1 kids love me and my P3 kids listen to me even though most of the time they dont know what i'm talking about.. i really pity these kids sometimes. Times when they dont drive me crazy.. lol

I have to admit that for the whole of last week, i hadnt been spending time with God, talking to him or even doing my QT and i just felt empty the whole time.. Most of my time were spent on gg to sch real early when i'm in the afternoon session and other stuff that crops up as and when.. but when i started to squeeze time out to do QT, surprisingly, i found the answers that i needed most..
Today's daily bread msg is " Finders Keepers" and i wanna share this online coz i really felt that God was listening to what i was complaining to him about and also he was with me all along. Whenever we find something good we will say Finders keepers! and it seems so good but when something bad comes along, do we still have the concept of Finders Keepers? I doubt many of us will even rmb this phrase.. " God places us in unique circumstances where our abilities matches the problem He wants to fix." How true it is! In Matt 25:35-40 Jesus said that what we do for those in need, we do for HIM.

GOSH! i just experience this. When i was doing my QT i dint quite understand the phrase but as i typed it, i finally got the whole idea! arrgh God placed me in where i am today to help those in Need! particularly the students who are weaker in the language. I have the ability to help them. So by helping them, i am actually helping God! Praise God. I thank God for helping me to see through the circumstances that even though nothing really bad took place but at least, my purpose in teaching has been affirmed once again and nothing else matters as much as what i can give to my students. For now, i just have to focus all my attention on teaching and inspiring my students. :D

P-plater

FINALLY!!! aft 2 tries, i passed! haha so happy for myself :) at least i've achieved one of my new year's resolution.. haha PRAISE GOD. i thank all who prayed for my test and most importantly, i couldnt have done it if GOD hadnt given me the confidence. I remember Pastor Kwong Preaching that if we believe that GOD will bless us with what we want, it will be DONE for us. So we just simply had to keep the faith. I did. Thank you, Lord.Life has just started for me as a beginning teacher, i went to observe the various classes and the students and i must say i'm surprised by the way the P5 em3 students turn out to be.. They are really very willing to learn, especially one of the boys.. my heart really went out to him. Not that he had any disabilities, it's just that his ability to learn is slower, but the main point is that he is VERY WILLING TO LEARN. His attitude in class is much better than the rest of the students in the better classes. I'm determined to help him excel once i take charge. I need wisdom to teach the P3 eat potatoes kids.. gg to have a tough time.. all come from good family background, parents are all $$$$$$$$ and they just cant be bothered to learn.. that's the vast difference.. P1s i've yet to get to know them better coz i've nv taught p1s be4 but i'm ready to take up the challenge.. heh :) Now i see God's plan for me.. Not able to cross over may not be such a bad thing afterall.. I'm assigned to teach these P5 em3 students and i want to set a good example for them, to teach and to inspire them....

God, bless me with the wisdom and the patience :)

Tioman Island

I had a short getaway to Tioman from the 20th-22nd of June just before school reopened and i dint really felt like coming back to sing.. heh life over at tioman is really relaxing for the peeps there and they didnt seem to have any trouble.. heh kampong style if you get what i mean.. yup i had my first try in snorkeling and i'm sure i drank like 2 litres of sea water or something before i could get the hang of it.. we just had to keep breathing through our mouth.. heh it was fun and of course something new to try out.. i took some fotos using the underwater cams but the fotos are not out yet.. when they are done shall upload them soon.. Till then, enjoy these fotos first :)
